How to use Clothoff: from reviews to editing
How to use Clothoff starts with understanding its role: the linked website is a review publication, while generation and editing happen on the provider you choose. This guide takes you from finding a suitable tool to an ordinary portrait edit with an authorized reference.

1. Find the right route
Start with the current review or catalog on Clothoff. Identify whether you need text-to-image creation, an edit of a supplied image or a video model. Those are separate tasks. Read the provider’s own model page before opening a paid operation; a subscription label alone does not explain which inputs and exports are included.
2. Open the actual editing tool
The original Clothoff usage guide documents WaveSpeed Desktop. On the official Desktop page, select the installer for your system and follow the installation instructions. Catalog models still use the online service: a desktop interface does not mean that model processing happens on your computer. Keep that distinction in mind when choosing a reference.
3. Connect your account
If using the Desktop workflow described in the documentation, create an API key in your WaveSpeed account and add it in the app’s settings. Keep the key out of image prompts and screenshots. Confirm the account balance and the displayed charge before running a billable request. Connecting an account and paying for an operation are different steps.
4. Select an editing model
For a reference edit, choose an image-to-image editing variant. The official example here is bytedance/seedream-v5.0-pro/edit. Check the model page rather than assuming that every Seedream variant accepts the same inputs. A text generation model and an editing model can share a family name while exposing different controls.
5. Combine a reference and a prompt
Add your original image, then describe a single edit such as a different background or a change in lighting. Name the parts that should remain unchanged, including the fictional model’s pose and complete outfit. When several references are supported, explain the role of each. Compare the first result before introducing another change.
6. Inspect the exported file
Review face consistency, hands, garment edges and background perspective. For video, watch the entire sequence and look for changing objects or flickering details. Keep the reference, prompt and selected settings together so that you can understand the result later. Do not treat a sharper download as evidence that every detail was preserved.
Documented Seedream Pro Edit settings
The official model schema requires 2 inputs: a prompt and images. It accepts up to 10 reference images. There are 3 resolution options: 1k, 1.5k and 2k. The 2 output formats are JPEG and PNG. Prompt optimization offers 2 modes: standard and fast. These are configuration options, not measured quality or speed guarantees. Seedream Pro Edit.
For this publication’s main topic
A strong opening image does not establish that a generated clip stays coherent. Objects may change shape, lighting may shift, or a subject may become inconsistent as movement develops. Review the complete sequence at normal speed and inspect difficult transitions separately. For a project with several shots, consider how the clips will connect. The resolution reported by a download dialog describes the file dimensions; it does not measure motion quality or continuity.
Limitations and costs
Availability, supported controls and prices can change. The official model page and the charge shown before execution take precedence over an old screenshot. These steps are a documented workflow, not a claim that we completed registration or tested a paid generation. Work only with fictional adults or material whose adult subjects explicitly authorized the intended use.
